Wrongful Termination

Wrongful termination is when an employee has been fired from the workplace on illegal grounds. In such cases, the employee has the right to file a case against the employer and take the matter to the court of law for justice which could be fair compensation or resuming the working position. However, to be able to do so, it is mandatory for the employee to prove that the termination was ‘wrongful’. According to the law, the employer has to have a legal reason to terminate the contract of employment signed between the employee and the employer. However, if such a reason does not exist, the employer cannot fire the employee.
